If you had one night left to live, what would you do? Would you prefer to spend your final night with a loved one or alone? What would you choose for your last meal?

I would at least try to seek out a certain someone and spend some time with him. (It's okay if he never loved me, it really is. I just know I'll love him forever.)  And I'd say I'm sorry to a few people.   And I'd make the rounds and say bye to everyone.    And then see if I could get some nachos *exactly* the way Chi-Chi's used to make them.  And then maybe sing a few songs at karaoke, preferably with a certain someone on guitar. And then it's ADIOS AMIGOS!

Are you happy at your current job? Do you think there's such a thing as a dream job? What do you hope to be doing five or ten years from now? Are you working towards that goal?

I am working two jobs right now. I would rather have just one.  As for the perfect job, I have held a lot of jobs and I don't think there is any.  I think the best I can hope for is one where I get to help people, and have flexible hours that I can still have a life too.

Not much new here.  Still doing the two job thing.  Matt just lost another job--not for performance reasons, because they over-hired.  The animals are still good.  I'm still taking singing lessons.

And the world just keeps on turning....

By now I guess we have all heard about the guy who slapped the screaming kid in Walmart.

http://www.inquisitr.com/35612/man-slaps-a-strangers-screaming-baby-in-wal-mart/

First of all, the guy is a TOTAL CREEP and deserves to spend time in jail.  He looks like a grumpy old man too.

But on the other hand, wtf is up with these parents who don't take their kids outside when they are screaming?   I only ever said anything one time, and that was in a very tiny book shop down at the shore. The kid was throwing an absolute fit, and due to the size of the store it just ECHOED!  I was making some very loud comments, to the horror of my friend! lol  But wtf, take the kid outside!  Many times when I was a kid, my parents had to take us outside, and we usually were in big trouble too.   People have no manners anymore.

But to smack a stranger's kid, that's just wrong.  And it's Wal-Mart--those stores are big enough.  I would have just walked to another aisle while grumbling to myself.

How about that--Megan Wants a Millionaire has been cancelled.   Turns out Ryan is a wife-murdering psychopath!

Kind of funny in a weird way. VH1 gave Megan her own show to keep her quiet after that shit with Sharon Osbourne.   And now the show is cancelled.  HA!  I say....  Sorry to hear about Ryan's wife though.  Evidentally he cut off her fingers and cut out her teeth to keep the cops from identifying her body.....

Next subject--I have a job interview on Monday at a local apartment complex.  The job is for a Leasing Consultant.  I guess you just show people around and get leases signed and stuff. Should not be too stressful I would not think. Honestly this two job stuff is getting old quick.

STILL thinking of going back to school, but not sure wtf for?  I was thinking of taking courses in medical billing and phlebotomy.  But that's assuming that I'll still be working at the college.  I can't afford anymore student loans right now.

"It's never too late to become the person you were meant to be."

"Life is not about finding yourself.  It's about creating yourself."

"Tell me I can't--I'll show you I can.  I'll even do it again in case you missed it the first time!"

Nursing school is out--and that's the final word.  Yeah it's good money, but it's grueling.  Plus I've turned into kind of a germophobe in my old age.  I'm looking into Medical Billing.  It pays really well around here--maybe $17-18 per hour or so.

AND here is what I really want to do:  I wanna rock like these chicks!  Yeah I know that everyone made fun of this, but honestly this shit rocks.

Okay fuck it, the embed thingy isn't working so here's the link.

That's the chick from "I'm a Bitch" on guitar, btw.

"Just enjoy being alone"  right after my first divorce--usually given by married people! lol  Seriously, why the fuck do people say stupid shit like that??

Oh that and "you're too old to do......"  whatever.  F that--you only live once man!!!

But here is a quick post.

The LPN thingy is NOT happening this year.  It would require $10,000 worth of loans--most of them alternative loans, since my Staffords are pretty well maxed from my Bachelors degree.   Plus a 30 mile drive each way--well you get the picture.  Just not feasible.

I am torn between the Respiratory care program and Medical Insurance billing at my college.  Respiratory care is cool cause you are pretty much independent.  Billing and coding is not really stressful, and pays pretty well.  I'm going to look into both of them, and figure out what my out-of-pocket expenses would be.

I also toyed with the idea of getting my Special Education certification, as I would be almost guaranteed to get a grant.  I could work one on one with kids or something like that.

OH I just don't know. It has to be a helpful profession, not some corporate shit--that I know.  And at 41 I'm running out of time to decide.

In other news--I'm still practicing my singing. I don't think it will be my vocation, but maybe my avocation. Well it IS my avocation, for sure.

You are in control--run my life cuz I sure can't! lol

Keep in mind the following facts:

I am 41 years of age with arthritis in my neck (not severe).
I already have about $51,000 worth of student loan debt.

And I know it's now or never whatever I'm doing.  I have to make a decision within the next week!!!

So I got a phone call from the director of the LPN program.  Basically I can start next month if I want to, since my test scores were so high!  :)  The only issue is going to be getting the funding, since I am basically maxed out on my student loans.  Not sure if it is going to be possible or not.  I am going on Monday for an interview at the school so we'll see.  $9700 is a lot of buckage for me to come up with.   Does not look promising, but it's an option.

Another option is the Certified Medical Coder class, which costs about $1000.  That would be a lot easier to fund for sure, and they pay about $18 an hour around here.

My job at the college is up in the air--AGAIN!!! Now with the budget crisis, there may be layoffs.  And once again I am low man on the totem poll.  I am truly getting sick of being dicked around.

And I truly suck at my job at the agency.  Once again, someone called bitching about me to the manager that I'm "not doing enough' for her.  Well aside from holding her hand, I'm not sure what else I can possibly do for this woman.  And I'm too nice to tell someone that they are nothing more than a lazy-ass. lol

My tonsils are feeling better, but my vocal teacher told me to wait a few days yet to start singing.  Maybe Monday or Tuesday.

Friday was the day from hell at the agency.  My boss is freaking out and basically chewed my damn head off for an hour over something stupid.  They can use me more hours at the college, and I think I'm ready to give up the agency job.  For sure.

Also I think my friend at the nursing home is going to have to start fending for herself a bit. I love Ev, but we are doing her wash and she calls almost every other day for something.  If she has to stay at the home much longer, I think I'll just have to have "the talk" with her about the nursing home doing her wash.  She won't be happy but oh well.

Late as always...

First I heard that Farrah was dead, and I was sad.

Then the news broke about Michael Jackson, and that was the last you heard about Farrah.

Am I the only one who isn't crying because MJ is dead?  I mean, yeah he was very talented.  And I don't wish death on ANYONE.  But MJ also thought it was ok to sleep with 13 year old boys.  And this stuff about "loving all children" did not ring true--the only sleepovers he had were with 12/13 YEAR OLD BOYS!!

Whatever, sorry to anyone who was a fan but I'm not shedding any tears.

Oh and here is some news that was texted to me by one of my friends:
Since Michael Jackson was made of plastic, he is going to be melted down into little lego blocks. That way children can play with him for a change!

Also at his funeral, there will be a boys chorus singing "Can't Touch This"...

My voice teacher has me learning some cool songs from the 1950's.  Happy Birthday Baby  and Only You, songs like that.  Pretty awesome and they make great karaoke selections!

This one girl who works at the agency is starting to work on my nerves.  She is like 55 years old (to my 41) and she is constantly making comments like, "us two old-timers" and "don't you love getting old?"  Crap like that.  It's like, speak for yourself lady--we are not the same age!  Grrrr!! Either I need a facelift BAD or she just wants to commiserate (sp?) with someone younger than she is.

Speaking of work, my job at the college is definitely going full time.  Which means that anyone at the college can post on it, which means that I may be out of a job.  There is a full time position open in another building, but I KNOW for a fact I could not work for that manager.  I have been on the receiving end of a few of her emails, and I hear people talk about her.  She FLIPS OUT if you make a mistake, and is a big-time micro-manager.  No thanks, I would take a lay-off first.

However, there are a couple jobs that look interesting--one full and one part time.  I'm going to put my name in for them and see what happens.

Smoking
[info]itsjeaniemarie
So I smoked two cigarettes today, and one cigarette on Tuesday June 2nd. The last cigarette I smoked before that was on my birthday, because I was pissed that BB showed up with his asshole buddy and ruined my party. But I digress.

I really need to nip this in the bud, especially if I want to be a singer.  NOT good for the voice AT ALL.
